how do I create an ISO image and save to my desktop?

    I have nero 10..I want to copy a data dvd I have and save it as an ISO on my desktop to burn LATER!!...but when I use Nero to copy the disc and save as an ISO it makes me go right to burning the image after it creates the copy???...I don't want to burn it now...just want to save it and burn it later...wtf?...have looked at the "options" and cant figure it out....what am I missing here?....thanks!

    not sure how you'd do it using nero but imgburn will let you do it and its shareware.

    Well..I figured out a workaround...when Nero creates the disc image and asks me to burn it..I just right click on the image and copy/paste another version to my desktop....then when I refuse to burn the copy nero made it closes burning rom and deletes the image it made..but I have the copy I made left...just don't understand why Nero won't just save a copy to my PC?...seems odd.

    In Nero 7.10.1.0 choose the "Image Recorder" Option in the recorder drop down menu from the Nero Burning ROM program. Then choose the Desktop as your save location.

    I recommend IMGBurn though, it is free and works better.
