How do I create PDF files easily?

    Hey everyone, I was wondering how I could create a PDF file of a catalog that I am going to make for my company I am just starting. I don't want an actual ink and paper copy at the moment, I want to create it online first. Does anyone know of a good program for this (possibly free/shareware) I want to just have pictures and descriptions of the items I am going to sell in the PDF file. I figured that a PDF would be the best, most professional way of making a online catalog.

    P.S. My dad bought PaperPort Deluxe 9 but, I can't seem to get it to do what I want it to.

    only app I know is acrobat pro, which is hella expensive. Although I think word can convert them also, but only for word docs. adobe is pretty tight about that kinda stuff, especially when PDFs are their propreitary format.

    PDFCreator is a free, very simple to use PDF converter. You can find it using a Google search.
