I have many UFC events in AVI form that I burn to DVD-R via Nero Vision 4 most often. The problem I'm having is figuring out how to burn the files without signifigant loss of quality. The AVI's are often split in 2 with each file being at least 700mb and often as large as 1.36 gb each. Placing both 1.36gb files in Nero Vision reduces the quality to "Average" where as anything below "Very Good" is a substantial loss in picture quality. If I were able to edit out the "filler" time between fights it would reduce the size dramatically. Is there an easy method of doing this? Thank you!
This guide for VirtualDub shows the basics. The difference is that you want to use the slider bar and select multiple clips to cut out. Each time you select a part, click 'Edit' then 'Cut'. When all the cuts are made, save the file. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/cut_avi_with_virtualdub.cfm
