How do I configure the xbox to do 480P? I'm got the component video cable as well as the older composite video. I've got an HDTV capable of 720P via the Component Video input?

However, I don't see the setting to change anywhere on the xbox setup options. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. It's not modded and I don't know much about the xbox (it's my kids').

    Thanks...RN

Yes, only some games support the 480P output and I have verified that on the games that I am testing.

But it does not do it automatically. What is the dashboard video section?

I got it working. Here's the process. Using the Component Video - green cable - plug it into a composite video connection and power up the xbox without a game. You will be at the Dashboard. Choose Settings, Video and select 480P. Insert a 480P game into the xbox and the screen will go jibbirish. Unplug the component cable and plug all three cables plus the audio properly into the component video input on the TV.
