Hi, can anyone help?... I'm relatively experienced with previous St@rview boxes but i understand fl@shing the new Box Super is slightly different to the older version SV1&2 boxes. i.e. use of the GTrom loader and bin file. I think i have searched all likely threads and haven't stumbled across instructions specific to the Box Super. Sorry if i've missed it! Can anyone help with step by step instructions?... Also, is the latest firmw@are the GTrom_Super_8.00e.zip as per EAMOS library? But how do i use the file as it's not a bin file to use with the GTrom loader as i know it? Is the RS232 cable that comes free with the box ok for fl@shing the Box Super? Cheers! (New member)
Same story different firmware/loader thats all. The SV3 firmware comes as a Unified firmware loader, so all you need to do is hit download. V8.00 is the latest firmware, some SV3s have a reboot problem which version 8.00 fixes, (well some boxes). Version 7.09e is also now in Eamos this is for SV3s that are still rebooting after flashing with V8.00. It is Beta and I havent tried it yet. So they are the two latest versions, if you get any reboot issues with one version then try the other.
Thanks sc0user! Looking forward to giving it a whirl! Just waiting on delievery of the box... Just hope its an original! Is there any news on clone SV3's? Is there any telling signs a box is either original or clone? And could current firw@re safely be fl@ashed to a clone SV3 at worst?
