How Do I Increase/Amplify My Computer Audio?

    when I listern to songs or watch a dvd on my pc (with headphones) it just isnt loud enough. Is there a software I could download that would able me to increase the volume. Volume controlls are right up on my pc.

    You can try VLC media player
    http://www.videolan.org/

    After install use the shortcut that says
    "VCL Media Player (skins)"

    The volume slider on that player boosts the audio quite a bit.
