how do i install a dvd burner?

    hey guys does anyone know the process in installing a dvd burner into a windwos xp computer thanks for the info...

    If you're replacing an existing drive it's dead easy. Just unplug the power and data cables from the old one and then hook them up the same as they were.

    If you're adding to the existing drives you'll need to find a spare power connector and then hook the burner to an empty connector on the ribbon cable.

    This is just the very basics. We can go more in depth as to where on the IDE is best, jumper settings and so on if you wish :)
