I recently bought 4 gigs of OCZ DDR2 PC6400 Ram on sale from Tiger Direct. When I installed it into my system that currently has 4 gigs of Kingston PC6400 the machine would not even attempt to post. I simply opened the system and snapped in the new RAM. When I removed the new RAM my system starts up fine. Did I forget to do something or am I the victim of DOA RAM. Thanks for your help.
hahahaha.. sorry.. it either doesn't work with your board or it's stuffed. who the hell needs 4 gigs of ram? my cluster that will transcode 3 hours of video in 2 minutes only has 1.2 gigs.
Thanks I will try those solutions this weekend when I have time. The mobo should support it as it is the same speed as my Kingston. It is also "optimized" for SLI chipsets which I have the Asus P5ND Sli mobo. Thanks for the ideas.
