i have a modded xbox with 200 gig HDD has worked fine in the past with no issues. i think someone may have messed with some of the settings, not really sure. but now im getting the error message that it may need service, and the error code 05 in the top left. i know this is a HDD error, that it is not locked but im sure there is something that can be done. i dont have any backups of anything, my cousin had this done for me in 2002. the HDD is a maxtor 200 gig, and the mod chip is a smartXX (not sure of the version, i think its one of the first).
