how do i make avi file(s) smaller?

    I have 13 equally sized .avi files that i want to put on a data dvd-5 disk. The only problem is that the files add up to 4552mb and the disk limit is 4483mb. Is it possible for me to slightly compress one or two of the files to make them smaller without losing quality? What is the best way to do this?

    Probably running them through Procoder 2 will do the trick, but I'm not 100% sure.
