Somebody helped me earlier on an issue similar to this but I've ran into a problem again. Can anyone help me out? I want to make a dvd using Nero Ultra 7 but I can't figure out how to make chapters in chapters. I will give an example. In United States we have EastCoast and WestCoast. Let's say I want to make dvd about the U.S. On the main menu, I want it to have two videos(links)....one which is for EastCoast and one which is for Westcoast. If you click on Eastcoast...I want that to lead the viewer to another page where there is a video to click on for each state on the Eastcoast. Someone told me how to do this...So I create 2 movies. one for east coast and one for west coast and split them up into chapters...each chapter representing the video for each state. But heres where it gets tricky......I want the viewer to be able to click on each one of those videos to bring them to another page of videos. Like if someone Clicks on East coast....it brings them to east coast states...then if they click on the "florida" video....it brings them to another page with a video for each city In florida. Creating a chapter in a chapter. Im sorry for asking such a long question but this is hard to explain. I appreciate any help anybody might have for me. Thanks
I think my question is something that everybody should know how to do in the first place and it's amazing that out of thousands of people on this site, nobody knows how to do this. You would need to know the answer to this in order to produce any kind of professional dvd. When you buy a dvd in the store.....they usually have the main menu...where you would have the choice of clicking on "play the movie, scene selection, and bonus material etc etc".... Lets say you click on "bonus material"....another list might pop up (if this were somebodys dvd on afterDawn...this is where the dvd would end, because nobody knows how to go further than this). On that other list in "bonus material" there are more options such as "click here to see outtakes.....click here to see the making of the film...or click here to return to the main menu". In order to have those options in bonus material that would lead you to other videos....you would have to know how to create chapters within chapters using Nero.
I do not have Nero7, I have 6. I know I am able to do this, even though I never have. I opened my Nero startsmart window, clicked the manuals tab, clicked NeroVision Express and then clicked on the Menu layout tab. It says 2 heirarchies so you could pick east coast and then the states, but not further down to cities in the states. I havent played with it to try, maybe open your program and use the help/search within the program. ---EDIT___I even made a screenshot of the manual___
For a program that advertises as an All in one solution for dvd burning...this should be embarrasing to whatever company created Nero...especially since we are now onto Nero version 7 and they still haven't thought of this feature yet. damn. Ok Thanks anyway. At least someone replied
