I'm trying to burn a downloaded movie to a dvd, when I have done this, I get a message telling me that it is being finished so that it can play in another computer. I cant play it in my player and I don't know where to change the settings to make it playable in my recorder. I have just got a new lap top and it has Vista ultimate system. I'm not used to this only XP. Hoping someone can help me here in plain language lease, I'm 64. cheers Ann
down loaded movies as are usually not in dvd format (mpeg 2). If the file size was about 700 Mb, then most likely it is AVI. If so, the avi file needs to be converted to dvd format. dvd flick can do this for you and is free. then burn the outputted files from dvd flick , and the resultant disc should play on a stand alone dvd player http://www.afterdawn.com/software/dawnload.cfm?mirror_id=0&version_id=16159&software_id=938
