I have both sata pci and sata to usb. Tried pci couldnt get it in mode b using slax. Use usb pc finds it quick but i cant dump the firmware. IS there another way to do it using my usb?
Jungle Flasher worked great for my 0047dj, one other thing you might want to consider doing is picking up a xecuter ck3 it has a button that automagically puts the hitachi into mode B. Also as a side note, don't be surprised if you get a lot of disc errors with wave 3's off the top, I had to open up the dvd drive itself and adjust the strength of the laser. (easier than it sounds, pm me for details if you have that issue)
