yes its really easy here's what u do

    1. burn halo 2 onto ur xbox hardrive (if u softmodded it delete the new maps otherwise u won't have enough room)
-to copy it use unleash X then go to applications and dvd2xbox then copy halo 2

    2. drag and drop the old maps from ur xbox to ur computer.

    3. open up a modding program and mod it just like a new map

    4. sign it with dothalo

    5. ftp it back

    6. on the menu go to game then halo 2 (dont play halo from the disc other wise the old maps wont work)

    - just to let u know u cant mod old maps online

    Here is an easier way...

    FTP to your xbox

Put halo 2 in the xbox (Don't play it)

Open up the "D"drive (Assuming you have one)

Make a folder called Halo 2 on your computer

Move over everything in the "D" drive to the Halo 2 folder

Make a folder called DSH2 (Damn Small Halo 2)

    Copy Halo 2 into DSH2

Delete everything in the Bink folder (They are just loading videos)

Delete all the maps that start with numbers and single_player_shared.map (Keep shared.map and mainmenu.map)

    Delete dashupdate.xbe, update.xbe, and downloader.xbe

Now you have DSH2 that is good for modding, system links, and saving room without having to delete the new maps.
