I googled my question and this came up: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060829031753AAj9VGZ so I have Firefox and I downloaded google tool bar but i dont see where the option to bloack a website is. Any help is much appreciated. thanks
Just do it the standard way. Go to Control Panel and pull up internet options. Go to the Security Tab and click on the circle with the line through it that reads "Restricted Sites" then click the button below it that reads "Sites". Add your site to the list like this: http://*.blockedsite.com http://blockedsite.com https://*.blockedsite.com https://blockedsite.com That will be fairly effective against most sites and the average computer user. Some sites, such as myspace, will be visible even through this block, but they cannot be logged into. Be aware though, that there are several ways for computer users now-a-days to bypass pretty much any blockage.
You can use OpenDNS (www.opendns.com) and setup a free account. Once you have an account created, you can block individual websites. There are also several other nice features, but you can read the details at their website.
