I've got several movies to backup that have both FS and WS aspects on the same side of the disk. This takes it up to 7.8xGB, which DVDshrink can't manage, and I only want the widescreen version anyway, so how do I go about separating the FS portion out without throwing off the entire DVD structure? I tried to do a search, but couldn't come up with the right keyphrase to have anything useful show up. TIA
Use the reauthor tab in Shrink open your file and then choose the WS title and drag it over to your compilation screen. If you do not know which is WS and which is FS then use the Preview Screen to determine.
Since you wanna retain the disc's menus ("without throwing off the entire DVD structure"), VOBB would be best. What's great is that when you blank one of the presentations (in my case, always blank the full screen--since it sucks), the size of the DVD almost (and sometimes does) becomes a DVD5. Case in point: Fun with Dick and Jane. Once I blanked the FS, it was a very comfy DVD5. A lot of members here only want the feature film but I like retaining my special features and/or menus. VOBB rules all lol.
