    hello

I've got the mummy legacy collection and I want to rip all the 5 films to avi with hardcoded subs. I used autogk to rip the first film (1 Disc) and the second film (1st movie on 2nd disc), but when I try to rip the third film (2nd movie on 2nd disc) it doesn't have subtitles.

so the question is how do I rip the second film off a two film dvd with subtitles

    T.I.A.

p.s. when ripping the second film autogk ripped both films as one avi I then used vdubmod to split the avi but the second avi didn't have subs

Try ripping the disk using DVD_Decrypter.

    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Decrypter

Set it for IFO Mode and see if you can select the Title then save it to a folder on the HDD.
Open the ripped folder .IFO file with AGK and the subtitles should be listed.

The image shows a Simpsons disk that has six episodes (Titles).

    Your sure it has subtitles?
Click the 'Stream Processing' tab and you can selectively choose which audio and subtitles to be ripped

Yup definately has subs in english ,spanish and french, I did enable stream processing and ticked just the english subs. In the log window it states "Stream Processing: Yes".But when I try to play the ripped vobs (zoom player, gom player, vlc and mpc64) there are no subtitles

    edit
opened the vobs with subrip and the subs are there so the problem appears to be with autogk not finding them. after running through autogk the temp folder has a .idx and a .sub file but the .sub file is 0 bytes

So when you play the original disk and select that title, you can see the subs????

    yes that's correct.

what I'm trying at the moment is:

using subrip to grab the subtitles from the vobs created with dvddecrypter (previously when trying to rip the subs from the original source, subrip grabbed the subs from both films into one .srt file. which I couldn't split and get the correct sync.)

then using autogk to encode the .vob and the external .srt (ctrl F8 in autogk) into an .avi

    edit
    hooray! it worked

Thank you Attar, for your assistance
