How do I set the DVD menu to play first, instead of the first title

Hi, I am sure this is a very minor tweak, but after a fair amount of research, I cannot find an answer to my question:

I have a DVD which has a menu, but doesn't play from the menu. Instead, it skips straight to the first main title. To get back to the menu, you have to press the root menu button. This is quite annoying because I have multiple titles to select from. I have ripped the disk to my hard drive, what can I use to set the menu as the first thing to play?

    Many thanks

Unfortunately, when the DVD was authored, it was set up that way. There's nothing you can do now.

If you saved your DVD authoring structure, you may be able to change it back to play the menu at start-up. DVD Lab gives you this kind of control.

You can modify navigation of already authored DVD with DvdReMake Pro: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro It has build-in step-by-step debugger so that you can trace the navigation to study how it works on your disk and change it to your needs.
