I just started using Nero 8 and nero vision 5. It is taking 1.5 -2 hours to burn a dvd! I am guessing that is becuase it is previewing the disk while burning. Is there an option to disable the previews while burning? I can't seem to find it in the program or any guides...

    Thanks a lot!

What takes up most of the time is the transcoding of the files to DVD format - the actual burning should be around fifteen minutes.

If in fact the burning phase to the disk lasted hours, it would be because of system problem, not necessarily a Nero problem.

like mentioned by attar, if converting say an AVI file to dvd, for the most part of the time is transcoding, and 1.5 hour to 2 = normal

alot depends of pc specs, file size, converting options 2 passes etc...
