Does the key need to be inputted on a Starview 2 'The Box' if i flash the unit. I'm getting baffled by all the different threads and info.

Would it be possbile to update your main thread with all the fixes etc. to state that the box needs a key, an updated flash or both

As from this morning all boxes need to be flashed as there was a change of firmware.
so flash first then the keys are after that!!

Thanks Des - On the ball.

Got the keys so i should be good to go tomorrow.

    Step 1. Backup Channel Data
    Step 2. Flash
    Step 3. Keys

If you have flashed the latest firmware and your starview is still stuck updating its worth having a look at the keys if you have tried to manually input them.
I flashed a friends starview just b4 and it kept trying to update, he had messed the keys up, he had changed key 00 to 01 so he had two 01 keys by accident, as soon as i changed it back to 00 the box updated and came back on.

and no, if you have flashed the latest AU fix then you dont manually change the keys, just leave it to auto update
