Ok i did this before but forgot how...

I've just downloaded Europtrip in .avi format of the net. I want to copy this onto a CD and watch it on my DVD player.

What format does it have to be in to be able to be played on a DVD player?...

And anyone got any tips on best program to use to convert and to copy onto CD and any other info I may need to get the best quality or something?

    Thanks alot.

    Hi there,

Use Nero, here is the tutorial off the Nero website,

    ftp://ftp6.nero.com/Support_doc/PDF-Express6/Video/CreateBasicSVCD-CD.pdf

or if that link doesnt work, go to this one and then press on create SVCD
    http://www.nero.com/en/Tutorials_Express_6_Create_a_VCD_SVCD_SlideShow.html

By the way, i would recommend going out and buying a DVD Burner (if it is in the budget), they only cost 40 dollars or so at sites like newegg.com, and allow youto create DVDs that have higher compatibility to all DVD players, and are genuinely better quality.

you have to find out what kinds of formats does your dvd-player read. Most dvd players can play VCD, SVCD and DVD. So if you convert your file to any of those formats you'll be fine. As DVDBack23 said you can use Nero to do this. I think it's the easiest program to convert the file.
