I was wondering how people using Kazaa or limewire get caught for downloading or uploading things? I have been reading lately about busts over P2P and bittorrent sharing but I have no idea how they would get caught. Plus, I have a homemade video I was going to put on Limewire so that my friend can watch it because he lives across the country. If I make this video available on one of the file sharing programs, will everything else on my computer become available for downloads over the network? I don't want to get into trouble.
use msn, aim, yahoo messenger, or icq to send it. but if u really wanna use kazaa or limewire or BT, do realize that anyone could download it from u. So if it's something u dont want others to see, u better not put it up.
Well to answer your question about people getting caught, they set up special songs that if downloaded, track you and get all of your information...
Snail mail means regular mail from the post office. What I meant was burn the video to a DVD or CD, and send it through regular mail.
but using limewire or kazaa is still pretty safe as long as u dont download or send in any movie files. u also shouldnt download complete albums. as long as u just down load a song here and a song there. that way even if they get all ur information they can see that ur not downloading alot or downloading big files and it wont be worth their legal fees to try and come after u. honestly i do not use limewire altho i have thought of it... i just wouldnt want to get in trouble not that you shouldnt do it. if anyone has any more information on this subject please post what ever u know.

Well what will happen is you get like sued for taking all that money away from the artists... its illegal. I pay to use limewire though so im not doing anything wrong.
just download, download, download there not really after u the user there after the uploaders, site admin etc, so i say download and f**k them the little FBI B**chs
