how do u edit DVD videos

    hi. this is my first time posting. I really need so help. i want to edit DVD videos. What kind of hardware do i need. I also want to be able to get videos from the tv. Is there a program that can do both? If not can someone tell me what to get, hardware, programs, etc. Also can some1 tell me what the best capturing card is.

    Well to get a DVD to your Hard drive you Just need a DVD Drive in your PC and a DVD Ripping program Like "SmartRipper" or "DVD Decryptor" but to edit the Ripped Vob/Mpeg2 files you need a Editor that supports Mpeg2 files and Dolby AC3 audio like "Womble Mpeg2VCR" or "Womble Mpeg Video Wizard" and then to Put the edited Files back on to DVD you will need a DVD authoring Program Like DVD-Lab....
    As for Captureing TV shows off of Cable you can use a Simple TV Card, any one that has a 10 bit decoder would produce good Quality ,This one is pretty Cheap:
