This is odd. when you update itunes you should loose any of your songs, however if you have purchase music from itunes it requires you to sign up and reauthorise your computer. try that and let me know.

Yeah it was weird to me too??? I plugged in my ipod to my computer which I have not done in a long time and here is what it says:

The ipod "My Name" is synced with another itunes library. do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library.

The only thing is that this is the only computer I own and is the computer where I got the music from.

Are there any programs to copy the ipod to my computer or anything. the only reason I am asking is because I was listening to it the other day and heard a song that I wanted to burn it to a cd but because it is the new shuffle it does not have the digital display like the new ones do. Please help!!!

if your using vista, this is the error i was getting, for some reason, look online for another ipod copy software there are a few, i just havent try them, i only try this one and like i said it works great on xp it dont work to good on vista. if you google ipod copy you probably find some. there are file here on afterdawn in the software download site, also you can try download.com from cnet. good luck.
