we sold the dvb-s(DSR310) to USA,but my client said that they can't receive any frequency.who can tell me the way how it can receive the signal .thanks
Need more info..... What exactly is the DSR310? I know it is a Philips product but all I can find is that it is a digital set top box, pretty vague. EchoStar 7 @ 119.0 West longitude is possibly a Dish Network orbital sat if I'm correct, they use EchoStar as their primary comsat's, is this particular box a satellite TV reciever? Or something else? If it is a reciever all you need is the correct azimuth, tilt and elevation settings depending on where your client lives as well as a dish and LNB capable of picking up that particular signal. Get me some more info and I'll try to help more ^^

I'm not familiar with that receiver but the specs look like it should work. What may be the problem if your friends can't receive Dish Network programing is that a few weeks ago DN started playing with the key signals. Most FTA receivers are now running the AUTO ROLL programming that lets it find the N2 encryption keys automatically. A few weeks ago DN started sending fake key signals along with the real key signal to confuse the auto roll programming. A new bin file was written to correct that problem but I don't know if you can find one for that receiver. You may need to manually enter the encryption keys to get it to work. The present DN encryption is Nagra 2 so if you find the right keys and enter them properly it should work until the next key change. The keys change about every month or so. The LNB they use depends on what type and size dish they are using. The smaller 18" to 30" dishes use the KU lnb the big dishes measured in feet use the c band LNB if I'm not mistaken. Hope this helps some. Jerry
thanks your help, my client had try some method ,he wasn't success yet.can't it really work in north America .but my some client said that it can work ,it can receive the 11300 signal.
Hi, I have just accidentally reset the keys on my fortec star, which uses echo signals. does anyone know where to get keys from and how to use them. thanks
This site should have a section on your receiver with instructions for adding new keys. Just look around there for it. The link is direct to the new key section. http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=51 Jerry
