I downloaded a movie and I am trying to burn it to play on Playstation and it won't work. I have a .bin and .cue files. I am using DVD-R, is that the problem? Should I use DVD+R? Thanks.
Welcome...... I will assume you payed for this downloaded or it is not a copyrighted movie. I wouldn’t want to promote piracy of any kind. Now that being said we need to know alot more ie specs, burning software, media brand, and does it play on anything else? And you may have to look into what media PS2 will play....I don't know There is a PS2 section on this forum _X_X_X_X_X_[small] Amd 1200, ATI All in wonder 8500 DV 383 133 ram 80 GB HD Windows ME Memorex 8X DVD Dual format[/small]
Hi ah3t5, First some advice. Using those 2 words together on this forum (download & movie) will bring forth flack from many members. The reason being the possibility of Piracy and breaking rule #5 of this forum. That being said I do realize there are some legal free downloads and some you can pay for. Here is a guide that may get you started but be warned that this is a subject that is kind of touchy and you should clearly state what and how you downloaded if it is a legal download. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm Jerry
I am trying to burn with Nero. I am using a general brand DVD-R. And it with not play on any other DVD players I have. And PS2 is compatible with DVD-R.
To burn with Nero Do not use Nero Wizard. When you open Nero Burning ROM, you will be at the “New Compilation” window. Directly under the title “New Compilation” is a choice block to choose either DVD or CD, choose DVD. Directly under that click on the DVD Video Icon. Then click “New” in the upper right corner of that screen, NOT the main screen. You now are in the DVD Video window. In the left screen, click VIDEO_TS. In the File Browser screen, 3rd from the left, trace your path to the VIDEO_TS folder, the one you made earlier holding all of your files and click on that folder. All of your VIDEO_TS files are now opened in the right screen. Click on the top file, hold down the “Shift” key and then click the bottom file thereby hi-lighting the entire column of files. Click and (holding the left mouse button down) drag the entire column of files to the open screen, second from the left. Now click the icon on the task bar that shows a match on a disc, and then click “OK” Note DVD Video not DVD iso. I am not sure if this is your problem. But its what I know. Doesn't the site where you "legally" downloaded this movie that you paid for give you any advice? I'm not being ornery, I'm just curious as to why a site that has "legal" downloads would not tell you how to burn them. What's the site?
