how do you format a new hdd for xbox ?

    There are many ways to do this but probably the EASIEST in the world is to use Slayer's Evox Autoinstaller 2.6 to upgrade the HD for you -- it will format it AND put several apps on it (that you can delete if you dont' want but they're handy). Slayer's autoinstaller will need to be downloaded and put on a CD-RW and you use it to boot your xbox.

    As long as u're xbox is modded, u can use Slayer's boot cd...

    If your Xbox has the X3 chip then you can do it in the X3CL, simple.
