Well that Line at the Top but mostly Bottom is Caused from the Head on the VCR makeing Contact with the Tape and it is allways there even when you are watching the VHS on your TV set but it is Cut off from your TV sets Overscan.....

The only way to get rid of the Lines is to Crop them off after captureing but this will entail you re-encodeing the File....

You would probably be better off Captureing to a Low Compression AVI format like useing the HuffYUV or PicVideo Mjpeg Codecs and then after captureing you would encode the files to Mpeg-2 for DVD and do the Cropping when you are encodeing to Mpeg-2 as some encoders has settings for Cropping the Video while encodeing like "Tmpgenc Pluss"...And after encodeing and Cropping you would author the Mpeg-2 file to DVD useing your DVD Authoring Program.....

If you are allready captureing to Mpeg-2 format maybe look for a Capture Program that will allow you to Crop while Captureing...I can"t think of any Mpeg capture Programs that can do this But there are some AVI capture programs that can do this.....

    Cheers
