I know this thread Isnt related to Hardware but I dont know where else to put is.

I have 2 computers both running on XP Home SP2. I want to link them together so I can browse the files on one-another. I have tried all the wizzards on both PC's but none of them work! Please help me.

If you are connecting 2 PCs directly to each other then the network cable needs to be cross over and NOT straight through...

Did you buy a cross over cable?

Crossover cable would work fine. You could also buy a workgroup hub which would serve the same purpose as the xover cable, but will allow more pcs to be added at a later date. Hubs dont cost more that 30 to 40 bucks.

If both your computers have firewire cards just network with a firewire cable, works like a charm!
