I've got a new computer with an ASUS k8v SE Deluxe mobo that has no BIOS. I went to ASUS's site and found a BIOS file but am having no luck getting it to work. As of right now, my computer starts, loads memory, optical drives,... then turns to a page that says "detecting..." after that i get a boot disk failure (prob cause their's nothing on the HDD yet.)

I tried to put in a windows op CD, which it detects, then configures my hardware, then goes to a black screen where it continues to sit until i get frustrated and turn my computer off.

and help on how to make a boot bios cd would be much appreciated. must be cd. i have no floppy.

If it had no BIOS it wouldn't do anything at all. Your problem may lie with other hardware in the PC.
