How do you make a video High Def or at least higher def on youtube?

I made a video and at first glance it looked pretty good. But when I uploaded it onto youtube, it was not good. It looked out of focus, the sound was bad. I will show you the link but, first of all, let me describe the hardware I am using:

    I have a TONOR microphone.
I have a Razer Kiyo (I also have a Microsoft LiveCam VX2000 if it would be better to use)

    Now for the software:

    Audacity
    VSDC
    ezvid

On my desktop the video looked pretty good. But when I uploaded it to youtube it looked like garbage.

For example, the text was blurry and the detail was not there such that you could not read it.

Please advise. What did I do wrong? What can I do better? The part where I imported the ezvid section into the project looked especially bad.

The options for video quality are presented to you before you upload your video to Youtube. If you don't like your current upload then delete it and upload a higher quality copy. The uploaded video can never be better than the original.

    Try changing settings before uploading.

Also you can try to improve the original by slightly changing colors, contrast etc

Generally, if your video source is recorded at high definition like 4K or 2.7K and also long in length, you'd better cut down the unnecessary parts from your video to shorten video (reduce video size, actually).

Plus, check your video codec. Change to HEVC to save at least 50% bit rate, which would lower the possibility to auto downscale resolution by YouTube.

Last, when uploading video to YouTube, choose keep original. Generally, YouTube will auto downscale your resolution to compress your video file size and improve uploading speed. So control your video duration and size.
