how do you restore settings

ive a boxt in ireland ,ive managed to put the box back into factory settings mode,i have the latest firmware instaled (after id done factory reset) the box shows select language ,when i choose english it then goes to channel scan but fails to get any thing,infact it shows ive no signal ?how can i get it back thanks

 

have you the coax in the cable input and not rf input. just check first.

 

hi aerial is in the proper place ,tried both but same result,box has been fine for months is there a way of knowing a particuler channel frequancy to try a manual scan

 

select your provider and do an automatic scan

 

how do i select provider?

 

on remote < ok > changes provider.

 

i tried that on remote but it goes straight into channel scan,as soon as i switch the machine on im on the settings screen ie language,then after selected and pressok,im then onto page with installation,user set up ,factory settings and system info.on installation i press ok it takes me to auto scan ,but finds no channels and shows 0%signal and quality?because i restored factory settings how can i get it to use chours/ntl again

 

Menu > 1570
Go to Set Default > press ok
This will restore your provider.

 

thanks ,ive done as you said screen shows provider as ntl,key number im not allowed to post ,but dont know if its correct. set default key says saving when pushed and key enu is set to off. still when i search channels it finds nothing.

 

turn the emu on!!! then go to sly 2 or Discovwery Turbo ..you should then see updayting data % it should click in then!!

i cant get to any channels i had now to update. im not getting any signal ,ive tested all cables and taken aerial down to check coax. still nothing.since i used factory reset a few weeks ago it showed no signal. although i did have rt- 2 even after codes were changed a few weeks ago ,all old stations showed as scrambled but ive lost all .any ideas
