I note that when iTunes imports songs it only shows the title when you look at the file in Explorer, ie. the album, artist, etc info is not shown. Does anyone know of a way to see this information?
Actually, you only see the file name, no tag info. If you set up your folder as a music folder you can see some information. I suggest you down load a trial version of dbPowerAmp Converter. You can try that out for free for 30 days. I suggest you re-rip all your CDs with that while you can. Try using LAME VBR mode. That produces the highest quality mp3 files for the file size. V0 will give you something that sounds identical to lossless. That is the finest ripper on the market. It is conciderably better than EAC which is free. EAC still blows away itunes which is near garbage. LAME is the highest quality encoder apple, M$ and other want to bees use different flavors of the same junk. From what I can tell no one cares to fix any of the many encoder problems. LAME has none. The package includes a tag viewer that does not expire after the 30 days. To see apple tag info, you will need to download and install the proper codexes from the poweramp site. The converter can read just about anything. I would load as many as you might think you need. You can only install while the license is active. It will let you see every thing not just what apple wants you to see. Enjoy!
