How do you stream at 100 mbit?

I've been trying to stream Naruto:GNT 4 with the GC Simulator Preview version as well as the Repack. With the Preview version, I keep getting stuck at the GCsim screen after I choose 100 mbit duplex. It saying please wait. As for the Repack, it says Detecting Network Settings and then Initialization Error. I know I'm doing something wrong but what is it?

Right now, I'm using the PSO streaming method with Phoenix 2.50. I have a Realtek RTL8139/810x NIC. I've seen people suggest buying a new NIC like a 3com or Netgear. Others suggest buying a switch/router so I can skip the Initialization part. Do I really need to buy new stuff or is there something else I can do?

One more thing. Someone suggested changing the speed down to 20 or something on my loader. How do I do that? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Biggest mistake is to make sure you're using a crossover cable if you're doing it raw PC<>GC. Then, make sure you have the right IP in your GC setup, as well as the streaming server.

If you have those right, you'll probably get it done properly. And if you're trying to use the same cable you connect your NIC to your modem with, you're using the wrong type.

No, I'm able to stream it normally using the ACL 1.4 loader on my Phoenix 2.50 and it works pretty well. The problem is it only streams at 10mbits. I'm trying to use GC Simulator to stream it at 100mbits. That's where my problem lies. But thanks for trying anyways.

Then the first thing you have to realize is that even if it's registering as 100mbit, in reality it has a maximum throughput of 27mbit due to BUS limitations.

It should work right, if you're doing it the same way. I just use the raw tools, rather than Phoenix, since that takes forever to actually load for some ungodly reason.

Anyway, with Phoenix, it tends to be idiot proof... if you're going through a router, the only thing I can suggest is you make sure all the ports are open between your GC and your PC. Otherwise, make sure gcsim and your loader is set with the correct IP of your Gamecube. It could also be an issue with Phoenix... sometimes files get partially corrupted, so there could be an error in the .dol it generates at runtime. Try downloading PSOload and gcsim preview/repack to try it without Phoenix.

I'm currently using a crossover cable right now. Is it better if I used a switch/router for gcsim?

You see the problem isn't with the crossover cable,it is with the ethernet card you use.I think if you read the nfo file or readme with the GCSim it will explain which one is the best to use.The best setup is to use a crossover cable also, because it is a direct connection from your Cube to your PC.I think even if you get it to work though,as mentioned it will still choke here and there as streaming ends up with missed packets most of the time.

I see, thanks for the quick reply.
I have 4 network... Will try many of them

I was trying with a Marvel OnBoard 100mbps
    Will try with a 3com...
after that will try with a Gigabps on a other comp if nothing change
    Thanks for the tips.

Plugged it to my 3Com ... for a unknown reason he didn't liked it when the Adapter was initialising ... i mean...
You send Gc Simulator ... then it run.... and when it run it diable the BBS... and reenable it at 100mbps ! because it was directly connected to the comp .. he didn'T liked it...
Plugged it to my 100mbps Full duplex switch... and now it work perfectly fine !
setted it at 22mbps sec and almost no lag (some weird sound sometimes) and sometimes one or 2 X appear (like 1 out of 400)

    :) thanks you !
