How do you watch a HDTV .avi file in XviD format?

    Title says it all, downloaded a tv show in the format and dont have a clue as to how to watch it or were to go to find out.

    HDTV is just the source, got nothing to do with the actual file really.
    So it's an avi. Windows comes with an avi splitter. Video is Xvid, so you would need to install Xvid or something else that can decode Xvid such as ffdshow. If the audio is mp3, windows comes with an mp3 decoder. If the file is HR or 720p, then you would need an AC3 decoder. Could also just use mplayer or VLC.

    Thanks. Yep, it started playing in VLC no problems. :)
