I was hoping to fit a bunch of 100-200MB files on a supposedly 4.7 GB disk. However, (Im using Nero) when I import the video one file filled up 1/3 of the bar!!! What's going on?
i cant be all technilogical with the explanation bt il try to explain it as best i can. You add it into nero and it takes up like around 1gb because that is the size it will take up on the disc once nero has converted it into the correct format so your dvd palyer etcc etc is able to read it correctly =] chris
but somehow that dusnt sound right to me that one file that is around 200mb takes up 1.5gb it should be around 700mb - 800mb when converted. What you should do is convert your files into dvd video format (.vob files in audio_ts and video_Ts folders) the best way to do this is by using a program called "VSO Divx to Dvd" ther is a free version but also a version you have to pay for. i have the free version it isnt a trial or anything it is freeware and it does the job perfect. this guide shows you how to do it =] http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_convertxtodvd_guide.cfm the version i have is " VSO DivxToDVD version 0.4.0.67" google it and it should be freeware, i know when i got it it was but due to new laws in some countries about backing up dvds etc the freeware version may have been taken off most sites, i dunno lol jus google it =] now once you have them converted you can use this guide to put mulitple converted video files on one disc. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/multiple_dvd_to_dvdr_dvd_shrink.cfm that should help you out mate =] it even shows you how to burn the end product with nero at the end of the guide i think. let me knw how u get on or if you get stuck or have any more questions =] im always happy to help chris
