how does this usb thing work?

ok so i read somewhere in here that basic usb cable for digital camera's will work for my psp. i tried that.. i plug the stupid thing into the computer and i go to save pictures and it says please insert whatever... WHAT DO I DO???

 

the USB cable works fine with camera. What do u mean "save pictures"

 

i try to save pics from my comp to the psp and my comp says insert disk in drive e:

 

ur psp cable is not connected or is damaged.

 

i was told that it has to be the psp itself because the cable works just fine when i connect it to my camera. either it's the psp or it's the computer acting up somehow. i dont know, i'm not too talented with computers.

 

Have you put the PSP into USB mode?

You need to fomat your memory stick first. To do that you need to got to setting than to sistem and than format memory stick. After that you conect it to your computer and you got to my computer than the usb and than psp than pictures. than if there is a problem you would have to check if your memory stick is not broken or if its not full.

 

tried that. still doesn't work. i guess i'm screwed. maybe i should just go out and buy a new psp. lol.
