Since the Gov shut down Limewire, I was looking for a site to download MP3's from and came across a couple of sites that were previously shut down but are now opperational again as pay sites.. ie. Kazaa, Ares and the such. How good are they now and are they legal to subscribe to to get music from?

    Thanks,
    Nate

they probably are legal but when you think about it if the police working for an antipiracy group raided your house and confiscated your computer unless you can prove 100% beyond a doubt that you have personally paid for every mp3 you own (or you own the original cds)they will try to charge you.

What I'm referring to is once you pay the fee.... is it not kinda like paying a copyright fee to be allowed to download the files? or is it still looked at like piracy? I mean Honeswtly... How mony CD's do you have i n which you like every song on them.. If paying the fee takes care of the legal issue then that would be better right?

I would invest in a DRM remover. You might keep the DRMed version to prove you got it legally.

Hmm and what may be the prove that you have paid for the MP3? Can it be a check from the internet shop?
