how i can add a .sub on an avi movie and burn it to cd-r

    hi everyone
    could u tell me about how can i add a sub on an avi movie and burn it to dvd-r or cd-r and watch it on tv with my dvd player(cause it supports showing divx and xvid).i need to know if there are any softwares to complete this job for me.

    Most players will support external subs with ANSI srt's being the best bet. If you remux to divx with xsubs though it will work on all DivX certified players and being bitmap based you can pick the font, etc.

    so are there any softwares for combining these two files divx and sub with each other.if it's available could you tell me about it more.

    i should tell ya my dvd player is samsung and it's not supported for sub or srt when an avi is played.so i want a software to create one avi file included sub.

    For a single avi you would have to hard encode (there are posts around on this). As I said though if the player is DivX certified, it will support xsubs in a divx container.
