Hello, i been wondering alot latley on how long the dvdr discs we use really last ? i been burning now for well over a year. i tryed all kinds of brands from the cheapest to the best. i USE nothing but sonys now, or maxell, nothing else. i take the best care of my dvds. they are kept in the spindle i buy them in, in my dvd cabinet. i never ever lend them out for the fear of who i lend them to wont take care of them. so my dvd are in mint shape, no fingerprints, dust, or cleaned with any kind of chemicals. the cheapest dvds i used in the beginning(memorex, playo, teon) still a year later play fine. well the sonys i know i can count on. but still leads to the QUESTION? How long do they really last ??

They last forever, well forever as long as they don't get damaged real bad.

POS ones don't have as long a lifespan as good ones. Think Memorex vs. TY. I have the cheap Sonys that still play, but if I were to run them through the PC to make another copy...they won't. It'll always run into an error. :(

It pays to make sure you get the quality media. I no longer look at any potential media unless it's Verb or TY.
