thanx for the answer to how to put a movie on to 2 dvd's without asking. this is a great forum. lets see if i can back up lor 2 towers
not sure whether to ask here or start a new thread . backing up lord of rings 2 towers. putting on 2 disks is the way to go right? 1 disk takes 7-8 compression this would look crappy wouldn't it thanx for any ideas.
actech, there would certainly be a degradation in quality. To what extent you'd be able to perceive it depends mainly on the quality of your viewing equipment, but I'm pretty sure you would notice it. My suggestion would also be to split it to two discs. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]~ ddlooping~ For DVD Shrink and related softwares guides and downloads, please visit http://www.dvdshrink.info[/small]
hey i got a movie, over 7 gig, and its downlaoded, sorry, and i cant get it to 1 dvd, i know this cant be done with most programs but , whitch one will do it? ive tried over and over with ulead, but always over 4.6 gig wgy?
DVD Shrink is one of thr best freeware programs to ever grace a computer. I live by it 4 or 5 times a day. So far, it's treated over 100 DVDs perfectly!
Ziggy (zbmarley) Try [bold]DVD2One 1.20 [/bold] or above If you have already got the ripped/unencrypted (not downloaded files) on your HDD. And you do know that you need to rip/unencrypt the DVD yes ?? (Have to ask as it's your first post) If you have unencrypted files you can run them thru DVD2One and choose movie only or full disk (choosing full disk you need to rip all files instead of just main movie VOB 's & title set IFO) And which audio/subtitles you want so as to try & get 7+Gb down a bit or the resulting movie is gonna be not as good quality as it could've been. Depends on whether you like menu & extras really... There's some thoughts on your comment zb [bold]: )- [/bold]
hahaha you're right ddlooping I must admit to not even having tested it. I instead reffered to my friend there Chris (Oriphus) to run the test cos he has a 60" Projector & Screen so obviously getting proper results ,rather than the usual of 'well I couldnt notice any discernable difference in quality' !! Chris's report back was that unless you do deep analysis w/ Shrink beta 5 - then DVD2One 1.20 does a better job... Which leads me to have no reason to step sideways bro , if it was a step in the right direction (forward) I'd be most inclined to test beta 5 like a madman ; ) Hope this clears up your curiousity m8
This is highly disappointing, herbsman. I would have thought you would only trust your own judgement on the matter, regardless of your viewing equipment. Well, I had also made comparison tests and found the opposite to be true. I use an EIZO 17" TFT screen at a 1280x1024 resolution (as good if not better than Plasma screens), and no offence to Chris, I believe it to be a better testing equipment than a projector. You don't know what you're missing herbsman, shame.
LOL. One could say you're missing: - The better quality obtained when using DVD Shrink "Deep Analysis". - The ability to easily "crop" a title. - The ability to combine a "flipper" or make a compilation of titles from different DVDs. - The ability to split a disc to two DVD-Rs - The warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you use DVD Shrink (but I guess you don't need DVD Shrink for that, lol). P.S: I know that most of these can be done using other proggies, but that's not the point.
LOL It is very much the point loopy ddlooping ; ) I have proggies that do everything I need them to do...2 Disc split , deep analysis (variable/constant in DVD2One) , ability to crop titles (I only ever take movie-only myself...with start & end credits cos films w/out are of no use to me) , etc etc I understand your bias feelings towards DVD Shrink but that does not a good proggie make , on this forum you'll notice about a billion and one ppl stating that if aint broke then dont fix it... Of the majority of problems posted I'd say there was a higher majority of Shrink problems over DVD2One ( I may be wrong ) peace out mate
As for the warm fuzzy feeling..!! Are you sure your girlfriend/wife didn't leave a battery operated item sitting on your PC chair [bold]lmao[/bold]
Fair enough. "As for the warm fuzzy feeling..!! Are you sure your girlfriend/wife didn't leave a battery operated item sitting on your PC chair?" She did!!!! And all this time I thought it was DVD Shrink. Peace out dude.
Oi Denis , I was just shown this URL http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php Nice guides !! Although your Nero guides are well too over the top , there is NO problem going thru the wizard to burn in Nero Burning Rom (I do not advocate using Nero Xpress to anyone). Where's the DVD2One guide aswell bro...? All in all , good work tho
Thanks for the compliment, herbsman, I appreciate it. "Where's the DVD2One guide aswell bro...?" Well, the site is "[bold]DVDShrink[/bold].info" after all.
