I'm a newbie from Adelaide, Australia, and I'd like to know how much other people (especially Australians) are paying for DVD-Rs.

I've bought a couple of Imation DVD-Rs from Officeworks for Au$11 (That's around US$6 or 4 British pounds). I reckon I'm getting jipped, cos it seems that people overseas are paying around a quarter of what I am.

If anyone could tell me where I can get cheaper media in Australia, or even a good site where I can buy cheaper media online, I'd be really grateful.

I pay about 80p (UK) for datasafe 2X with the ritek dye which are the best for the least IMHO

You can get bulkpaq for 47p here but they are crap.

    www.blankdiscshop.co.uk

they do deliver internationally (at least they have tat option on the site) but obviously I have never tried it. Even with postage and import duty that has to be a better bet than $11 a disc.

Yep malum I use the same place, great bargains.

I initially used the eperformance ones which were OK but only 1x (but worked well with my standalones) however now I am using dvd2one I am getting funny blips/jumps after approx 1 hr playing the dvd, so I have just started using the 2x as you stated above and seems to have cured it.
I have yet to locate any cheaper in the UK.

My mate made me laugh cos he just got a dvd-r burner and in desperation went to DIXONS for some blanks bought 5 for £25 I am still trying to recover (may take some time)

Or try www.blankshop.com/erol.html. But I buy DVD+R, not -R. They cost me about £1.20 there, and I think that they deliver internationally.
