I have a 1 hour and 45 min home video I captured from old analog tape with Pinnacle Studio 8. It yielded a 25GB AVI file. I wanted to burn it to a DVD-R and it wouldn't let me. I saved it to disc as a mpeg-2 file and it yielded a file of 1.1GB (which SHOULD have easily fit on my 4.7GB DVD-R disc, right? What am I missing here. Shouldn't I be able to put a 2 hour video (or actually a little less) on a DVD-R disc for playing in my DVD player? OR, is there a limit of even less video time? Thanks! Gary
garyjay A little more detail would not go amiss. Youre right in saying that you shiould be able to get 1.1Gb on a DVD-R disc, but what file type. *.VOBs are limited to 1Gb per file What application are you using to author your files ? HomerJ
