how on earth do u get this lame codec to work

    ive tried various time to get this to work and cant i heard its a comman line program which i dont know how to use are there any other mp3 type codecs i can get which are good and easy to install i wanna use em for encoding programs like virtual dub and tmpg enc cheers

    If you get the commandline version of lame there should be some documentation included. Example for commandline use:

    C:\test\lame.exe --alt-preset standard "d:\music\nice song.wav"

    "--alt-preset standard" Is ~ 192kbps VBR and gives "best bang for the buck" quality. It can be replaced by other commandlines, for details see the sticky thread in this forum.

    You might want to get a frontend for lame like lamedrop or razorlame.
