How small?

    Would it be possible to rip 1 or 2 DVDs and store it on my PSP which has only (at the moment) 32MB Memory?

    possible, yes. practical, no. compressing each movie to ~15MB each would be such horrible quality it would be unwatchable. you need a 512MB or 1GB memory card in order to play full length movies on your PSP.
