I download my movies from bareshare and they are in .AVI format. I was using DVD santa because it did everything for me, but its been acting up lately and having errors which is making me lose a bunch of dvds. I do have Nero Smart but I have no idea how to burn a dvd on it.
Also I know u can't watch .AVI files on my dvd player so what I need help with is, how I change my .AVI into dvd format then a step by step instruction on what I do to burn a dvd using nero smart. Starting with what I click etc... any help would be much appreciated. thanks

You are going to have to convert your AVI files to DVD compliant files. Here is a guide using DivXtoDVD you can also get the software at the same site. It shows you the programs and how to do the conversion.

I just bought a cheap DVD player that is DIVX certified (LG DVX 9843).
    It was around 60$.
I just burn now all this .avi files on a dvd and can watch them on my TV. Saved me huge amount of time converting .avi files to DVD.
