how to add subtitle by not using any software.(help needed badly)

    hi,
    i download movies using torents and they are usually of .avi format.so i just rename the subtitle name to the movie's name and the subtitle gets attatched..but recently i downloaded a movie of .xvid format and i cant figure out how to attach a subtitle to it....please help me guyz...

    What happens if you change the name of the file from .xvid to .avi

    never tried it....:S:S....but i dont think it will work...
