    Hi,

Is there anyone know how to backup a movie into 2 dvd-rw/r..? I am using DVD Decryter v.3.2.0 and DVD Shirink v.3.1.7 to backup to a DVD disc.

    Thanks!

    hi e.n.
I think what im reading from you is,your wanting to know how you split a movie onto two discs??
If this is the case, its easy to do with dvd shrink and this guide:http://www.dvdshrink.info/splitting-v2-3.php
If this isnt what you want, then you need to post more clearer info
    good luck

    wassup,

i am at the stage where you shrink the dvd and the next i have it sent to the decypter to burn, i think. correct me if i'm wrong at any time. But my question is, once my shrink sends the dvd to my hard drive how do i make another copy of the same dvd without the same dvd being present or can you. i mean like borrowing a dvd and making two copies.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for your quick replied.Yes, that´s what I mean,to split a movie onto two discs. But I have DVD Shirink v.3.1.7...can I do that in that version? If can how? I can find it in that v.3.1.7..or do I have to download DVD Shirink v.2.3 ?

Ps: Sorry for not posted a clear info...

    hi e.n.
no it works the same with your version of shrink, most of the guides on here arent specific to the current version thats available.
    3.17 will work just fine.
good luck and welcome to the club

yes you can,all you need to do is open decrypter and browse to your iso file and click mode/iso/write.
You can burn more than one copy(but owning more than one copy of a backup is against the law)at least it is where im from(so is copying a dvd you dont own for that matter)

    jim,

i really aprreciate your assistance. i was just making sure that the shrink program did not delete my files like dvdx copy does so i can watch on my laptop whenever i want. and when i'm away from the disc be able copy it and watch it when at a friends house.

    hi cazanova
Im not familiar with any of the 321 products, but neither dvd shrink or decrypter deletes your files automaticaly, you have to manually delete them

as i said before this guide will work with your version of shrink

    1.open dvd shrink

    2.click the reauthor mode

3.drag the movie onto the left pane under new dvd structure

4.go to the start end frames, make sure the number one is in the top window and then note the number in the bottom window and split that in half ie.your movie is 20 chapters,so put the bottom window at ten and then click ok.Do the needed deselecting of audio streams and subtitles.

5.make a folder of the name of your movie(example, the matrix disc 1)make a folder inside that folder named VIDEO_TS in caps just like i have it here

6.click back up and browse to that folder and then click ok(make sure you chose in the select target device, hard disc folder)

7.when thats done shrinking,go back into reauthor and start end frames and put the start as chapter 11 and the end chapter 20,make a another folder disc 2,follow steps 5,6, again.

8.now you have two folders equally spit and now all you have to do is burn the video ts folders in the burning program of your choice(i use nero)

there you go,that should do,the guide i posted before can and does work for your version of shrink.

ok i noticed your using decrypter, your probably using that for burning. In this case follow all the steps i said earlier except when you choose target device choose create iso disc image, and check the box that says launch dvd decrypter.also disreguard step 8
