Hi Just a quick answer.Yes Just use imgburn to create ISO image of your burned disc. Then you can burn the ISO image again using imgburn.
@redcape "so, I can re-use a dvd-r disc after I've burned something to it. let's say I dl some tv shows or movies, burn 'em to a disc. Done watching, never gonna watch again, instead of using a new disc I can re-use the one I just used? Really?" NO, Not really at all. DVD-R is WRITE ONCE. "In oder to make a backup wii disc I'd have to have a ram.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">dvd-ram with a dual layer disc, right?" "Once again, NO, not at all. In order to make your own backups from a PC you need one of a few SPECIFIC DVD-ROM models. LG GDR-816x are the most commonly used. "I just wanna make sure I understand all this. Thanks." 1 Please read the last few pages of this thread carefully. There appear to be gaping holes in your understanding. If you ask the questions, someone here can typically provide the answers.
Not that I have run into problems, but I now have a new PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. How do I check to see what Net Framework I have? I tried to search the computer for it, but it did not show any results.
I too just installed windows 7 x64 and I continue to get an arithmetic error about 5 min into the burn. It also starts of burning quite quickly at the 2.5hr rate, but slowly goes down to about 11hrs before this error pops up each time. Can this program not be run using this OS? Should I consider a Dual Boot option?
Your .net framework version should be shown in the "add/remove programs" window, at least it is on XP, should be in the equivalent of Windows 7.
The burn or the dump? It seems as if you are describing teh dump process but using the term "burn". Please clarify.
I have found this thread to be very insightful... but I need to know what part of this info applies to MAC users. Can I backup games using a MAC? Can I hook up an external-HD and drop them over there and not burn to disc? Sorry, I hope none of this is repeat. I didn't have time to read every page of this thread... only got to page 4 due to time constraints. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
i just downloaded a .exe to unlock my Wii from a file sharing site(Ares). Do i just copy this to a DVD and play it n my Wii??
You are in the wrong thread. Go here. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f...ms_except_for_korean_linked_4_2_guide-797772/
None of this applies to a Mac. AFAIK, there is no dumping software that runs on a Mac since there are specific drives that must be used.
Sorry, can't help you specifically. I don't run Windows 7 and probably won't for a long time. Generic help would be: Run .net framework 3.0 or better Run in safe mode (or whatever the safe mode equivalent is for Windows 7) Don't run Rawdump 2.1, use 2.0 Try friidump 0.40
Your Problem seems to be that you are using the 64bit Version of the OS. The 64bit OS runs all 32bit programs in emulation mode. The answer is quite easy: Just try the 3 available softwares! There are 3 softwares capable of reading Wii originals on the PC: rawdump, friidump and hektograph. None of them is specifically made for 64bit Windows so you have to test them in your environment. friidump and hektograph have the advantage that both do not use the .NET framework. friidump is a commandline driven tool while hektograph has a grphical user interface (GUI). I myself tested hektograph successfully on 64bit vista. Mik30
It seems to depend on the game. I first tried DBZ BT 2, and I kept getting the error. Final Fanstasy Crystal Chronicles copied no problem. and Family game night got the same error, but much later. I will try the other programs. Thank You.
i bought a wii for my son and some games , my friend put the games on a external hard drive and it worked great i tryed to add some more games to the hard drive and did some thing which deleted all the games from the hard drive . could some tell me please how to put the games back on the hard drive. thank you very much for your help
As elsewhere in this thread, if you own the games and want to back them up yu can use software for the WII to back up onto a drive/sd/usb/wifi. However, I found it strained the drive on my WII so I brought a DVD for the PC. Here is a current one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370312195901&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123 going for a great price. I have one and it's already saved me buying WIisports again (everyone loses this disc (!)). It's also much less hassle than installing wii software.
Hi all..... So i have just bought a new wii and now have it hooked up to the internet, and would like to know how to add people and play free online games with other users. I am having a very difficult time trying to figure this out.......Your help is very much appreciated.
