Wait what do you mean by this? You said that the burn failed in the finalization process in your other post. Now it burned through? Try and insert the disc into your 360 and see what happens.

In my two attempts the burn failed in the finalization process (IMGBURN) and it burned successfully on (CLONECD) yet if I right click on the DVD drive and check the capacity of the disc to see if it definately has burned correctly (My xbox isn't with me right now) it shows me that no space has been taken and that the disc is still empty yet I just spent 120 minutes roughly burning three times on three different discs and everytime each disc is blank.

I'm on my fourth try now, this time with IMGBURN again. I have no idea why they aren't burning properly. It's like I said, my drive is definately capable I checked via neroinfo tool, the discs are un-used and brand new and I've properly SS patched the file also.

I'm not sure why but when all is said and done, the programs either tell me it's burned when it hasn't or it's failed to finalize yet even then when I check the disc after it fails or has burned it still has full capacity like it just spent 40 minutes doing nothing. In my experience, if it was to burn until the end and not finalize due to some type of error, it would still have used the disc and burned something on it so that it was un-usable - this isn't the case strangely.

If this helps, this is the lines of error I get in the log when trying to finalize the disc on IMGBURN

W 00:07:20 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0%, 0/3) - Program Memory Area Update Failure
W 00:07:20 Close Track Failed! - Reason: Program Memory Area Update Failure

Well after googling that error the discs seem to be an issue. You never said what brand they are.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I am having the exact same problem, using an LG burner and verbatims, and it will freeze. Anyone have any idea?

You should have ran the .iso through ABGX first. That's why I said to stealth patch it. ABGX will create a .dvd file for you.

    Hey guy's.

Great forum btw. Wealth of useful info. Anyway, onto more important matters. I seem to be having some problems burning an image. This has already been run through Agbx successfully and i'm using Verbatim discs (Singapore). Following this guide and using Imgburn the discs are failing to write at the lead-in stage. I'm using the ***.dvd file to load the image.

I recently updated the DVD drive with the latest firmware, however I have to say that the drive is probably about 4 years old. Not sure if this is my problem? Anyhow here's the log from the failed burn. Hope you can shed some light on this. Thanks:

Thanks NDarkness. I had a feeling it might have been the drive. Any suggestions on a suitable replacement drive with which to successfully burn these images? Cheers.

I saw on a previous reply that the LG GH22LP20 might be o.k to use. But it would be helpful to have one or two alternatives.

Any new DVD Writer will do. Don't go with a no-name brand though. I recommend either Samsung, Pioneer, Sony, or LG.

The drive will need to be able to burn DVD+R DL of course.

Sindar, according to that log the drive has firmware P3.5 installed which is years old. Install P3.7 and see how you get on before you go out and buy a new drive: -

    http://www.storageupdates.philips.com/files/dvdrw/Philips_DVDR1640P_Upgrade_to_P3.7.zip

Even that firmware is 3 years old though, but it's worth a try.

If you do get a new drive, I'd recommend an Optiarc AD-7240S assuming your PC can take a SATA writer. The scans I'm getting from that drive are seriously good.

Look in the Wii section. Be sure to read the stickies first.

I have searched all over and can't seem to come up with an post that clears this up. I think it belongs in this thread, but I am sure someone will think not. Anyway, Great readme's. I have a 360 with the FW mod. Most of my torrent games burn just fine, but I do get the occasional one or two that give me a video error. Most give me the "insert video dvd into an xbox360 console" message, but a few give me a "DVD video" message. I run them through dvdxmullit and it tells me it is missing the video info. I have extracted the two rar riles that contain the video info, and it attempts to rebuild the file. I have also tried using abgx and it tells me the partition is newer or has lines that it has not seen before. Is there a generic video partition that we should use when trying to fix these iso's? Am I missing this in one of the tut's?
Thanks in advance for the assistance. You guys rock.
